Inclusive Tourism Advisory Project Launched to Enhance Accessibility at Tourist Sites

In line with a reform under Jordan’s Reform Matrix that aims to enhance and facilitate the accessibility of persons with disabilities to main tourist attractions, and recognizing the tourism sector’s potential to generate employment (including inclusive employment), Jordan’s Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and the Ministry of Labour, in collaboration with the World Bank and the Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, launched in October 2025 an advisory project supported by the Jordan Inclusive Growth and Economic Opportunities Multi-Donor Trust Fund.

Training Workshop on Enhancing Women’s Empowerment in the Public Transport Sector

The Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, in partnership with the World Bank and in collaboration with the Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC) and the consultative implementing firm, held a training workshop under the Enhancing Women Economic Opportunities in Jordan Operation. Jordan Achieves One-Third of Climate-Responsive Investment Program Objectives

A recent World Bank report revealed that Jordan has achieved one third of the objectives of the Jordan Inclusive, Transparent and Climate Responsive Investments Program for Results after four years of implementation, reflecting an increase of six percentage points over the past six months. The program, with a total value of USD 900 million comprising USD 500 million as the initial loan and USD 400 million in additional financing, aims to promote investment in climate responsive projects, improve the business environment and enhance transparency in public investment management. As of July 28, 2025, a total of USD 500.16 million had been disbursed.
