The Reform Secretariat, through the Jordan Growth Multi-Donor Trust Fund, is supporting the Ministry of Agriculture in developing a National Traceability System for Agri-food Products. An initial meeting to kick off this project was held on Sunday, under the patronage of the Minister of Agriculture, H.E. Eng. Khaled Henefat, with the presence of Secretary-General, Eng. Mohammad Al-Hiyari.

The World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), in collaboration with the Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC), successfully concluded a joint mission from July 21 to 25, 2024. This mission marks a significant milestone in the implementation of the Transparent, Inclusive, and Climate Responsive Investment in Jordan - Program for Results. The mission focused on overseeing and evaluating the program's progress, addressing key milestones, and identifying challenges to ensure continued success.

The World Bank-led public procurement reforms mission, in collaboration with the Reform Secretariat in Jordan, concluded its four-day intensive and productive meetings. The mission, which took place from July 15-18, 2024, focused on strengthening government procurement reforms and addressing challenges faced by Project Management Units (PMUs) in implementing World Bank programs.

In collaboration with the World Bank, the Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation has successfully concluded the second Business Ready (B-Ready) workshop in Amman. Over three intensive days during the last week of June 2024, the technical teams from both entities, alongside 97 participants from 10 working groups representing 43 ministries and government agencies, finalized comprehensive business environment action plans developed during the first quarter workshop, and identified implementation strategies for outlined reforms.

Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources-Jordan, in collaboration with the World Bank and the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, concluded the final workshop on "Legal and Regulatory Options for Producing, Using, and Exporting Green Hydrogen in Jordan." Supported by the Jordan Growth MDTF, the study aims to review Jordan's legislative framework for green hydrogen and propose updates to attract foreign investments.

On behalf of the Minister of Transport, Captain Haitham Misto opened the "Jordanian Civil Aviation Sector" workshop in Amman on Monday, 10 June 2024. The workshop aimed to review and discuss the results of the diagnostic report on the civil aviation sector to develop a national air transport policy. The report was prepared by The World Bank through the Jordan Growth Multi-Donor Trust Fund.

On 19 May 2024, representatives from the Jordan Growth Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF), including notable figures such as H.E. Tarik Khan, the Ambassador of Canada, H.E. Espen Lindbæck, the Ambassador of Norway, and The World Bank's Resident Representative, Holly Welborn Benner, participated in two significant field visits in Amman. The first visit was to the Central Market in Amman and the second visit was to the National Aid Fund (NAF). the aime of this field visit was to We witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of the support provided by the MDTF to enhance economic, environmental, and livelihood aspects, highlighting Jordan's commitment to sustainable and inclusive development.

Continuing the joint efforts between The World Bank, the Ministry of Finance, and the Reform Secretariat at MoPIC, a workshop on sovereign green bonds for the Governmental Working Group took place on June 26. This workshop aims to build local capacity and raise knowledge on eligible projects for financing through green bonds. The importance of this workshop lies in its role as a precursor to the first issuance of Jordan's green bond during next year, and to support the implementation of climate responsive capital projects.

A three-day capacity building training on Green Finance and Climate Ris Management, jointly organized by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ), The World Bank and the Reform Secretariat and supported through the Jordan Growth MDTF took place during the second week of May.
