In line with Jordan's Public Procurement Roadmap for 2023-2025, a specialized workshop on professionalizing public procurement was held in Amman on February 19-20, 2025. This event was a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and the World Bank, funded by the Jordan Growth Multi-Donor Trust Fund.

Aligned with the Reform Secretariat commitment to strengthening the institutional capacity of government entities, a one-day Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) workshop was held on Sunday in collaboration with The World Bank at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance investment promotion and sector outreach, the Reform Secretariat at MoPIC hosted a coordination meeting on Monday, organized by the Ministry of Investment (MoIN) with International Development Ireland (IDI) to discuss key aspects of investment attraction in Jordan and coordinate efforts exerted within investment scheme.

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Jordan’s business environment and institutional capacity, the Reform Secretariat at MoPIC, in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), organized a specialized training program on insolvency for 40 staff members from the Companies Control Department (CCD) on January 25, 2025.

The Minister of Agriculture, Engineer Khaled Al-Hunifat, reviewed the progress of the National Agri-Food Traceability System Project, which is being implemented with support from the Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation through the Jordan Growth MDTF. The consulting company presented the achievements made in Phases 1 and 2 of the project, which were successfully completed.

The Jordan Center for Disease Control (JCDC) organized the first meeting of the National Steering Committee for Health Data Governance on Monday. The meeting was held in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, with the participation of 62 representatives from relevant public and private sector entities, as well as regional and international organizations.

During the first week of the year, we hosted a 2-day training on Social Impact: Assessing Impacts and Managing Risks, in collaboration with the World Bank through the Jordan Growth MDTF. Over 50 participants from various public sector entities joined us to enhance their skills in assessing social impacts, managing risks, and ensuring compliance in government projects.

On Wednesday, December 9th, around 50 representatives from ministries, government institutions, and targeted supply chains gathered at the Ministry of Agriculture for the fourth meeting of Phase 3 of the National Agri-Food Traceability System project. This phase follows the successful completion of Phases 1 and 2 and is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture with support from the Reform Secretariat at MOPIC through the Jordan Growth MDTF, in collaboration with the consulting company.

The Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and the implementing consulting firm, hosted a workshop on 27 November 2024 to discuss the Gap Analysis results for Jordan's National Traceability System for Agri-Food Products. 

In a significant step toward enhancing food safety and quality in Jordan, the Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, hosted the inaugural focus group discussions for the National Traceability System for Agri-Food Products (NTSAP) last week. Supported by the Jordan Growth MDTF and organized in cooperation with the implementing consulting firm, this three-day session convened over 60 stakeholders from key sectors, including vegetables (tomatoes), fruits (dates), poultry, and live meat (sheep).
