During the first week of the year, we hosted a 2-day training on Social Impact: Assessing Impacts and Managing Risks, in collaboration with the World Bank through the Jordan Growth MDTF. Over 50 participants from various public sector entities joined us to enhance their skills in assessing social impacts, managing risks, and ensuring compliance in government projects.

On Wednesday, December 9th, around 50 representatives from ministries, government institutions, and targeted supply chains gathered at the Ministry of Agriculture for the fourth meeting of Phase 3 of the National Agri-Food Traceability System project. This phase follows the successful completion of Phases 1 and 2 and is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture with support from the Reform Secretariat at MOPIC through the Jordan Growth MDTF, in collaboration with the consulting company.

The Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and the implementing consulting firm, hosted a workshop on 27 November 2024 to discuss the Gap Analysis results for Jordan's National Traceability System for Agri-Food Products. 

In a significant step toward enhancing food safety and quality in Jordan, the Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, hosted the inaugural focus group discussions for the National Traceability System for Agri-Food Products (NTSAP) last week. Supported by the Jordan Growth MDTF and organized in cooperation with the implementing consulting firm, this three-day session convened over 60 stakeholders from key sectors, including vegetables (tomatoes), fruits (dates), poultry, and live meat (sheep).

An intensive three-day training program was conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of public works and housing supported by the Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and the World Bank through the Jordan Growth Multi-Donor Trust Fund. This training aims to enhance the skills of technical staff from both the public and private sectors in applying the Output and Performance-based Road Maintenance Contracts (OPBRMC) document.

To support the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH) in developing the Road Asset Management System (RAMS), the Reform Secretariat at MoPIC, through the Jordan Growth Multi-Donor Trust Fund, conducted an intensive 6-day training program in October 2024. This program aimed to enhance the skills of MoPWH staff and road management personnel. 

Under the patronage of H.E. Minister of Investment, Eng. Mothanna Gharaibeh, the Ministry of Investment in collaboration with the Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC), held a consultative session with the private sector at the Association of Banks in Jordan (ABJ) on October 24, 2024.

Under the Sustainable Agricultural Plan 2022-2025, the Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation is supporting the Ministry of Agriculture through the Jordan Growth MDTF in developing a 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢-𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬. This system will boost food safety, expand export markets, and integrate advanced quality standards.

As part of the ongoing efforts and partnership between the Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (Jordan), the Companies Control Department, The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, and IFC - International Finance Corporation to strengthen Jordan’s insolvency framework, the sixth training course for certifying and licensing insolvency practitioners was successfully conducted during the last week of September. This initiative, supported by the Jordan Growth MDTF, featured a distinguished group of international experts and trainers.

On 24 September 2024, the Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC) hosted a successful technical meeting as part of the Jordan People-Centric Digital Government Program for Result. The meeting focused on developing and refining the annual work plan for three critical health-related indicators under the program, which aims to modernize service delivery in Jordan’s health sector.
