On behalf of the Minister of Transport, Captain Haitham Misto opened the "Jordanian Civil Aviation Sector" workshop in Amman on Monday, 10 June 2024. The workshop aimed to review and discuss the results of the diagnostic report on the civil aviation sector to develop a national air transport policy. The report was prepared by The World Bank through the Jordan Growth Multi-Donor Trust Fund.

The workshop was attended by Acting Secretary-General of Transport, Eng. Osama Karadsheh, and representatives from government entities and civil aviation service providers. Captain Misto highlighted the sector's achievements and resilience, emphasizing the importance of air service agreements to ensure regular flights. He also stressed the need to build on these achievements in line with national and international goals to achieve sustainable development.
