Launch of Corporate Seal to Advance Women’s Empowerment in Workplaces

19/04/2026

In a continued effort to promote women’s economic participation and foster inclusive work environments, a national initiative introducing a Corporate Seal for Women’s Empowerment in Workplaces has been officially launched.

The initiative, led by the Ministry of Social Development in partnership with the King Abdullah II Center for Excellence, aims to support public and private sector institutions in adopting gender-responsive policies and practices. It provides a structured framework to assess institutional performance and recognize entities that demonstrate commitment to enhancing women’s participation, retention, and advancement in the labor market.

The Corporate Seal represents a practical tool to strengthen accountability and encourage continuous improvement in workplace equality standards, while aligning with national priorities and international best practices on gender equality.

This initiative contributes to the implementation of Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision, particularly in advancing policies that support women’s employment and promote equal opportunities across sectors.

The Corporate Seal constitutes a key reform under Pillar 6: Gender and Labor Market Development of the Reform Matrix 2.0 (2025–2029). It serves as a practical mechanism to advance women’s economic empowerment by promoting gender-responsive workplaces, strengthening institutional frameworks for equality, and encouraging both public and private sector engagement in improving women’s participation and advancement in the labor market.
