On 24 September 2024, the Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC) hosted a successful technical meeting as part of the Jordan People-Centric Digital Government Program for Results. The meeting focused on developing and refining the annual work plan for three critical health-related indicators under the program, which aims to modernize service delivery in Jordan’s health sector.

The meeting brought together 17 key stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Jordan Center for Disease Control (JCDC), Electronic Health Solutions (EHS), the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MODEE), and the World Bank Group, alongside MoPIC.

Key discussions revolved around outlining specific activities, setting milestones, and assigning responsibilities to ensure continuous progress in the health sector. The group also reviewed disbursement and verification processes, while addressing the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting arrangements. Additionally, they discussed the role of the Technical Steering Committee and upcoming missions aimed at accelerating progress.

The meeting concluded with the finalization of the annual work plan, clearly defining responsibilities and timelines. The disbursement and verification processes were further clarified, ensuring smooth implementation moving forward.

This collaborative approach is fostering meaningful reform within Jordan’s healthcare landscape, promoting improved governance, transparency, and operational efficiency. These efforts aim to make healthcare services more accessible to all Jordanians, ultimately contributing to the nation’s broader health reform goals.

It is important to note that the Jordan People-Centric Digital Government Program for Results is designed to enhance citizen-centered service delivery, improve government effectiveness, and increase transparency through the integration of digital technologies. The program became effective on 27 June 2024 and will continue until June 2028.
