Training Program on Insolvency for the Companies Control Department Staff

25/01/2025

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Jordan’s business environment and institutional capacity, the Reform Secretariat at MoPIC, in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), organized a specialized training program on insolvency for 40 staff members from the Companies Control Department (CCD) on January 25, 2025.

The training aimed to enhance participants' understanding of Jordan’s insolvency framework and improve their ability to effectively manage insolvency cases. It provided a comprehensive overview of key insolvency principles, technical procedures, and best practices, equipping CCD staff with the necessary tools to support financially distressed businesses while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.

This initiative is part of the broader support provided by the Jordan Growth MDTF and the Swedish Government under the MENA MSME 2.0 program, which aims to foster a more resilient business environment, mitigate financial risks, and enhance economic stability.

As a key resource for insolvency practitioners in Jordan, the Insolvency Practitioners’ Manual has been developed, reviewed, and refined to provide a structured guide for preparing and training insolvency agents, ensuring consistency and efficiency in insolvency case management.
